The Varnum Library in Jeffersonville is known to make Halloween special every year with at least a few good events for those who are interested. This year, Varnum will be hosting a Full Moon Fest and Costume Party on October 28th at 1 p.m. This is an awesome family event and all who attend are encouraged to wear their costumes. The event will include a host of fun activities, including harvest craft time, face painting, games, and fresh donuts.
Halloween Monster Mash Bash at Smuggler’s Notch Resort
If you’re looking for a few extra things to do just outside of Jeffersonville, you may want to drive a few miles south to Smuggler’s Notch. One event that always attracts a lot of people is the Halloween Monster Mash Bash at the Smuggler’s Notch Resort. On October 28th between 3 and 8 p.m., gather the fam and head to the FunZone 2.0 at the resort for pumpkin painting, costume contests, spooky laser tag, and even a bonfire and hot chocolate. Halloween movies will even be playing on-site with warm cider and popcorn ready to enjoy.
Halloween Block Party in Essex
Hosted on the Switchback Brewing Company’s lawn in the Essex community and surrounding streets, the Halloween Block Party just outside Burlington is slated to be a lot of fun. The party will involve live music, a photo booth, and even costume contests if you want to dress up your pup. Food trucks are also planned to be in the area, and there will be numerous kid-friendly activities.
